The Italian Sides of The Beatles

This book gathers all the information available about the vinyl records that were released in Italy from 1963 to present times, compiled and annotated by the author, a Beatles collector himself, who has been working on this project for about 15 years.

The aim was to update the knowledge on the Italian releases from a collector’s point of view; and this has meant the description of every Italian release with a special focus on any recordand sleeve variations, from the major ones to the slightest.

You will finally find the most puzzling aspect of the Parlophon discography unveiled

  • The Parlophon singles’ label colour sequence.
  • Not to mention other facts that will surely surprise you (can you imagine an EMI pressing of the ‘Sgt Pepper’ LP printed on a non-Parlophone label? Check it out…).
  • Besides, it’s probably the first time that also the reissues have been seriously studied in order to give a hand to those foreign collectors who sometimes have been offered Italian EMI releases but knowing little about those issues.
  • You will also find magazine covers, sheet music, posters, movie memorabilia and fan club items.
  • And a special chapter is dedicated to the 1965 Italian tour. Every effort has been made to offer the most updated reference book on this matter focus on any recordand sleeve variations, from the major ones to the slightest.
